About Union Parish E911 

The Union Parish Communication District was created by Ordinance Number 404 as of January 9, 1990 by the Union Parish Police Jury. It was established for the express purpose of providing Enhanced 9-1-1 services to the residents of Union Parish. It is the intent of the District to provide the best possible level of public safety communications to the citizens of Union Parish. The 911 Commission is the governing body of the Union Parish E911 Center.
Union Parish 911 is the dispatch communications center serving as a vital link between emergency services and the community in Union Parish. UP911 works with local fire, sheriff, police and emergency medical service providers to dispatch the appropriate emergency responders, as well as to provide support for public safety education.

Who We Are

The Union Parish E911 Commission is the governing body of the Union Parish Communication District which consists of the Union Parish E911 Center. The commission consists of 8 selected officials by 4 different parish entities and one member at-large selected by the commission for a total of 9 members. A corporate endeavor agreement exists between the Town of Marion, the Town of Bernice, the Town of Farmerville and the Union Parish Police Jury. Each town has two selected officials to serve on the Union 911 Commission. The Union Police Jury also has two selected officials.
